Disabled tertiary population survey

The National Disabled Students Association (NDSA), Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority have been working together to develop a survey to learn more about the lived experiences of disabled tertiary students in both formal and informal tertiary education.

This survey will lead to focus groups later in the year and then a final report on the findings from the survey and focus groups will be published.

NDSA have been the leads on this project and have raised it as the last piece of data on disabled tertiary students came from 2013. This is to give students a chance to have their voices heard and to have findings to enable policies and frameworks to improve the experiences of disabled tertiary students.
