Blueprint – Mental health workshop for the Deaf community

13th October
12:30 pm
- 4:30 pm

Blueprint for Learning and Platform Trust are pleased to offer our mental health workshop – MH101® – adapted for the Deaf community.

MH101® helps participants to know the signs of good mental health and of mental health challenges. It gives ideas to improve their mental wellbeing and how to support people who are distressed.

Participants will receive a MH101® workbook, and access to a post-workshop e-learning module to help them apply what they have learnt.

The workshop will be co-facilitated by Celia King (Deaf Counsellor, NZSL Facilitator) and Grant Cooper (Facilitator). There will also be two NZSL interpreters each day.

Ministry of Health provides funding for the workshop. It is free to attend.

The workshop is for two days. Participants must attend both sessions. Friends, whānau and supporters of Deaf participants are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Deaf community can contact Deaf Aotearoa to support in completing registration.
