
Isaac Theatre Royal are very excited to be welcoming Equal Voices Arts’ latest production, “Where Our Shadows Meet” as part of their 2024 programme and would like to extend an invitation to our Deaf community to attend.
The 11:00am Wednesday 28 August matinee performance includes a NZSL-interpreted Q&A session with actors and the creative team after the show, making this performance particularly appealing for our Deaf audiences.

Project Overview:
“Where Our Shadows Meet” is an intergenerational theatrical experience that explores themes of love, loss, and language. The performance combines physical storytelling, live instrumental music, New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL), and spoken English. The cast includes both Deaf and hearing performers, ensuring accessibility for diverse audiences.

- Dates: 7:30pm Tuesday, August 27 and 11:00am Wednesday, August 28, 2024
- Duration: 60 minutes (for matinee add approx. 20 minutes for Q&A)
- Venue: Isaac Theatre Royal (ITR), Ōtautahi Christchurch

Collaboration with Equal Voices Arts:
ITR is thrilled to collaborate once again with Equal Voices Arts, having previously programmed “At the End of My Hands” in the Gloucester Room studio space in 2016. “Where Our Shadows Meet” represents a larger-scale production, taking place in the Stalls of the main auditorium.
