Good afternoon,
My name is Solenne, I am interested in becoming an NZSL interpreter, I’m level 1D.
I leave in Christchurch with my family and would like to know if there is anything here or it’s only in Auckland ?
Hi Solenne,
AUT in Auckland is the only place that offers the NZSL-English Interpreting course. They also offer a NZSL and Deaf Studies course.
Victoria University of Wellington does offer some papers through the Deaf Studies Unit: https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/explore/study-areas/new-zealand-sign-language/overview
I hope this helps :)
