Hi I’m Lara from Deaf Aotearoa, I have some key information to share.
I hope the Deaf community are safe in the affected areas Auckland, Waitomo District, BoP, if you need support or info, there is a list of agencies and their contact details attached for you.
The NZ Relay service has extended their hours today and tomorrow 8am -8pm.
iSign is also continuing to take bookings, if interpreters are not able to travel then NZ Relay is available.
Today a community Info Hub has been set up in Mangere – community groups an agencies will be there to support, Deaf Aotearoa staff Joy, wearing Deaf Aotearoa top, will be there 11am – 1.30pm to support any Deaf or HoH people.

Tomorrow is Auckland Anniversary Day so the 2 Auckland offices, Avondale and South Auckland, will be closed, however Deaf Aotearoa is still open throughout NZ.

NEMA will be having regular updates at 8am, 1pm, 4pm
