Auckland is still at Alert Level 3, although some restrictions have been eased. You can now:

  • have outdoor social gatherings with 2 households, up to a maximum of 10 people.
  • travel throughout the Auckland region to do more outdoor activities including golf, hunting, sailing/boating, fishing, scuba diving, jet skiing and recreational flying. A maximum of 2 households, up to a maximum of 2 people can gather.
  • attend outdoor exercise classes (e.g. yoga) with a maximum of 10 people (who can be from different households), which includes the instructor. Physical distancing of 2-metres must be maintained.

Schools can reopen from 18 October 2021, depending on public health advice. A decision will be made closer to the time.

Children can return to early learning centres, with a maximum of 10 children per bubble. Parents and caregivers must wear a face covering at pick-up and drop-off.

These restrictions are likely to change depending on public health advice.
