When there’s a COVID-19 outbreak in the community, the Ministry of Health will update their website with locations where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been, these are known as ‘Locations of interest’.
You can find the website with the locations of interest here: https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-health-advice-public/contact-tracing-covid-19/covid-19-contact-tracing-locations-interest
It’s important that you check if you were at a location of interest at the specified time. If you were, information on what you need to do will be written next to each location of interest. What you need to do will depend on the risk of exposure at each location.
If you didn’t go to any of these locations, or if you went to one of these locations but were not there during the specified time, you should monitor your health and only get a test if you show symptoms.
