20th August Update

Today the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, announced that all of New Zealand will remain at Level 4 Lockdown until Tuesday 24th August 11:59pm. Cabinet will meet again after the weekend on Monday to make a decision what to do next.

There are now a total of 31 cases of COVID-19 in the community, in Auckland and Wellington.

It is important that you check locations of interest. If you been to any of these locations you need to self isolate, and go get tested for COVID-19.

If you feeling sick with cold or flu symptoms, you should also go and get tested.

If you have not visited any of these locations of interest, or do not have cold or flu symptoms, you do not need to go and get tested. Queues are long, and only need those people who have visited locations of interest, or have cold and flu symptoms to go for testing.

Again we would like to remind everyone when you leave the house, all people age 12 over must wear mask when you go food shopping, pharmacy, service station and other places. If you have exemption card because you are Deaf and need to use lipreading for communication, you can show the card to remove your mask.

Vaccination centres are now open again. If you have an appointment, it is best that you go ahead with your vaccination appointment. If you are not yet vaccinated, or don’t have an appointment, you should visit bookmyvaccine.nz to make an appointment. Now the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for children from 12 and older, which means your children can get the vaccine when you go for your vaccine too.
