Are you ready to vote in the local elections?

14 July 2010

Everyone enrolled to vote is being sent an enrolment update pack in the mail.  Anyone who hasn't received their pack by Thursday 8 July isn't enrolled and won't be sent voting papers for the local council and district health board elections.

You can enrol if you:

  • are 18 years of age or older; and
  • are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident; and
  • have lived in New Zealand for more than one year continuously at some time in your life.

Enrolling is easy - get an enrolment form or check that your details are up-to-date here [add link to https://secure.elections.org.nz/app/enrol/].

Go to www.elections.org.nz for more information on who can enrol and how to do it.
